Incidentally I bought this for $9 in a real box at Best Buy. Onwards.
If you played (and liked) the original Deus Ex, you'll thorougly enjoy the <10 hours this game takes to finish. My largest complaint thus far is that they misspelled 'HANGER' in a neon sign (spoiler alert! You'll encounter a hangar in this game. Sorry I spoiled your gaming experience by revealing this crucial bit of info, my bad). Well, that, and everything else that goes wrong when you combine RPG's with FPS's. Not enough ammo? Too-alert enemies/bad stealth model? Lots of moving from zone to zone? Way too much money and no way to spend it? Way too short of a game?
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. But my biggest complaint is that they misspelled "HANGAR" on that sign, so this means it's probably a fun game.
TIP: Shoot everyone in the head with the sniper rifle--this works for every non-robot enemy in the game. Also, don't bother with Thief-type stealth, as the cheating laserbeam AI will find you anyway. |
