This captaincy was still all done off the books, mind you, times being what they are. Thus, when the crew takes aboard cargo or is busily offloading into port, the First Mate strikes the captain’s colors. However, once at sea, all know who is truly mistress and commander.

Ms. Sirena Doolittle, born in the tenement districts of London, was a former kitchen maid in the service of Duke Garoun of Loupana, father to Athryn and in-law to Captain Hanzii. A lucky girl to have landed a position such as she did in the house of a nobleman, many have said it was due more to her looks than her ability to make tea. She had been, after all, from the blossom of her womanhood known for her extraordinary beauty, and was affectionately called by the lads and male servants of the house by the nickname "Siren." Allowed to continue onboard Athryn's ship, Siren worked as Athryn's personal assistant. Growing out of her little shell and learning true independence, within six months time she had become Ms. Sirena, a grown woman of means, ready to embark upon her own adventure. Having learned Dutch from working amongst the crew, she set up her own now successful business in the bustling port city of Amsterdam – a restaurant and coffee shop (tea also served and recommended). She kept contacts with Hanzii, Athryn, LSB, Tankero and Claycw for more than just personal reasons, for their businesses provided her restaurant with an amazing variety of flavors and dishes, in her success was largely owed.
