In Canada, the maximum recommended daily dosage of paroxetine (a SSRI) is 60mg, so that's what I'm taking now. But! My new psychiatrist says that where he's from - the United States - doses of up to 100mg are sometimes prescribed for the treatment of really severe anxiety, so he's going to try that on me. And the best part is, the only side effects are drowsiness and massive weight gain, which I'm not too worried about since I've already put on seventy-five pounds since I started this treatment regime two years ago anyway.
Also, I'm thinking of getting a dog. Maybe that will help with the crushing loneliness? |
