I'm not sure how a lack of drivers can be blamed on Microsoft, unless they didn't give vendors access to the information they needed to make them Vista compatible. I recall the lack of drivers was an issue for the first several months (and nVidia in particular having horribly broken drivers), but I'm not aware of it being an issue anymore. For my part, I adopted early and had no problems, although I should mention that I bought a brand new machine AFTER Vista came out.
The guy who bought a Windows Vista Capable laptop? According to this, Intel pushed that little schtick against MS's better judgement. But his opinion of Vista without Aero Glass as "hobbled" is fairly ignorant. He can't have the shiny icons so he assumes he's got an inferior OS. Well, guess what, XP doesn't have shiny icons either. Why is it a problem in Vista but not in XP? |
