The positive reviews you see are only because the game is an overlong JRPG that reminds them of Evangelion.

"Pretentious"

I played the demo, with the ultra slow text speed, and characters that talked and talked and talked forever about things that were incredibly boring and didn't have anything to do with the story (you could seriously watch a 10 minute UNSKIPPABLE scene play out of people discussing dinner).

The story that is there is long, and rips off a lot of the same stuff you've seen ripped off. Star Wars, Soylant Green (that one's not even subtle).

The game goes on way too long. The combat system is simplistic and boring, with way too many random encounters to slog through at a snail's pace. The graphics are constantly zooming in on ultrapixellated sprites that look laughably bad, even back then.

The story and dialog are some of the worst. It goes on for too long and desperately needed an editor. Most of the characters will tell you the same things over again in different ways. This is an old writing cliche, on most "do not" lists of writing, for inflating your writing to make it seem longer and therefore "more important." That is because the writers of this game were hacks. And no, not the translation or localization, but the original script.

The fact that you can go on websites and see people give this positive reviews is a tribute to the lack of taste and justice in the universe.

Have you completed and fully understood this game? Because i highly doubt youd give it a score like that, if you can explain the relevance of the "ego, super ego and ID" in this game, i'll know you've understood it, if not, play the game again!!! its got the most philosophical and meaningful dialogue and metaphors in the existence of gaming
