Tycho can't shut up about some indie shit recommended by Tom Chick Gabe is crazy about Pokemon And oh yeah I guess TF2/Portal/Sins of a Solar Empire is really good so I guess we'll give it a couple of sentences in those news posts nobody ever reads in between talking about some useless shit like how we're batshit insane or how our ugly spouses like to read crappy Anne Rice novels or how five years later we still can't fucking stop playing World of Warcraft Do they talk about Portal in the comic? They gave it one shitty joke, they gave Team Fortress 2 one fabulous custom spray, and that's about it. They've made two (bad) comics about World of Warcraft this month alone. Review the entirety of their creative output for the month of February based on two criteria: Relevance (and not relevance in an E/N sort of way) and Wit. 2/1/08: Shit 2/4/08: E/N, also Shit 2/6/08: Not shit 2/8/08: E/N, who fucking cares 2/11/08: If I need to go to urban dictionary to read your comic, it sucks 2/13/08: Not shit 2/15/08: WHERE'S THE JOKE 2/18/08: DEAR LIVEJOURNAL: I AM INSANE 2/20/08: Manticores. Just say it. Manticores. Maaaanticores. Haha, comedy gold! Also more E/N. 2/22/08: I DIDN'T FEEL THE FUNNY 2/25/08: If all you're doing is copy and pasting World of Warcraft forum posts you're not trying very hard 2/27/08: I had to ask Jhoh what the bloody hell they were talking about in this one. I guess they were referring to the angry offended mob of PC users which DIDN'T ACTUALLY EXIST Count them. They spend 1/3rd of their time talking about themselves, 1/3rd producing objectively crap content, and 1/3rd of their time they produce stuff which may or may not actually be clever. This is an empirically bad comic. But I read it every other weekday just to get annoyed that it's so bad, so I'm a colossal fag as well. =/ |
