The digital transition has already taken place here, so I had to order a digital converter box off of amazon.fr to be able to use the television for anything besides the PS2.
Anyway, hook everything up, turn it on, and the very first commercial I see? Les Experts Miami. David Caruso's French voiceover guy does a great imitation of the real thing.
I've known six or seven Russian/Eastern Bloc people who claimed that they learned their (accented but grammatically correct) English entirely from American television. So maybe between my daily French classes and keeping the TV on, I can manage to not embarrass myself every time I go into a store by the time I leave.
At least I'm not the only one with problems remembering genders in French. |
