| This was the only music review site we used to read. :(
I just watched "Some Kind of Monster" (well I listened to it at least) and decided to go back and see what his review of St. Anger was. And then I saw he changed his review of S&M from positive to negative and I laugh on the inside. I used to hate that album so much. Also, Michael Kamen. 2007 UPDATE: I CAN NO LONGER LISTEN TO THIS RELEASE. THE ORCHESTRATION IS SO INCORRECT, INCONGRUOUS AND INAPPROPRIATE FOR THESE MELODIES THAT THEY DESTROY EVERY SINGLE GREAT METALLICA SONG ON HERE. THE FACT THAT I GAVE IT A (GASP) EIGHT OUT OF TEN WHEN IT CAME OUT CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING: I WAS TIRED OF METALLICA AT THE TIME AND NEEDED TO HEAR THEIR SONGS IN A DIFFERENT CONTEXT. NOW THAT I'M IN THE MOOD FOR THEM AGAIN, THIS CD SOUNDS REALLY, TRULY AWFUL -- A BOMBASTIC ORCHESTRAL DISNEYFICATION OF PREVIOUSLY AWESOME HEAVY METAL SONGS. HERE THEN IS MY ORIGINAL 8/10 REVIEW Anyway his review of St. Anger is even more negative, haw haw. |
