| Dana's review made me want to see Rambo.
by Jhoh Cable 01/25/2008, 1:52 PM I just went right out and saw it and it was actually even better than the review led me to believe. The promise of gigantic fawkin explosions was not only met, but I had a headache before the movie and that one giant mushroom cloud explosion cured it. And yet the movie had even more awesome things not mentioned in the review, like people's heads being sliced off by Barrett sniper rifle shots. This was definitely better than In the Valley of Elah or Rendition or whatever. When it comes to movies about war, it is probably more meaningful and insightful to see a guy firing a machine gun going aaaaaaa than watching fictional people pretend to be upset about horrors of war that haven't happened. |
