| 1. A good font will make or break a game. I don't like most of the art direction in Guitar Hero, but that fuckin Rock Band font almost makes up for the huge amount of faggotry in the songs.
1a. Also the make your own rocker thing is great. The guys who brought the game over had already Made Their Own Rockers: Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and some nice lady with the shirt that has hands holding up her boobs. 2. The Red Hot Chili Peppers: really they don't suck all that bad I guess. Not as bad I thought they did. Flea is off the chizzain! 3. OMG don't make me sing those songs. Rock Band does not sort for appalling excellence (Zseni style), it sorts for Neighborhood Of Excellence. I got Rock-Band-sung under the table by someone who can't hold a note usually because he didn't get creative! Don't get creative UNLESS HARMONIX TELL YOU TO. After two tremendous failures I was relegated to backup vocals. 4. Unlike Guitar Hero, there IS a place for DDR-style play in Rock Band. That place is the drums, which I killed. My request to plug in one of my (Red Octane!) dance pads with the USB adapter so I could DANCE THE DRUMS was DENIED. 5. House Bowie: I didn't believe Jerry when he complained of the level of suck, but omg. One of my tremendous failures was Heroes, a song I tanked because GUESS WHAT GUYS A LOT OF IT IS MICROTONAL. But for god's sake don't sing it like that! Let's all put on our Brooks Brothers wool knickers and sing it like it was fucking row row row your boat. I also failed Timmy And The Lords Of The Underworld. Me: unable to be adequately retarded? 5a. My backup vocals for Don't Fear The Reaper and Bang A Gong slaughtered. :( This wasn't so much a learning experience as it was an experience in how close I am to being a child molester. I also didn't realize how bad Bono stole everything "slick" from T Rex. 5b. Guys seriously do you seriously think I can't sing Heroes? Seriously guys I have been singing it since I was thirteen and my voice is an {Epic Drop}. It is the Tier 4 PVP set of what the fuck is that voice doing on that horrible idiot. Seriously I can nail Heroes. One more chance guys seriously. Okay I'll just sing in the back of the room okay? 6. However most of the available songs are gay. 7. Caltrops Moment There was a Five Minutes Hate during a lull in the play in which everyone in the room bitched richly about the many flaws in Rock Band's gameplay. It was like living in Caltrops! They hit everything from the bullshit links to XBox profiles to the inability to skip songs to the retardedly long setup time when taking the whole affair over to someone else's house. |
