I'm not really sure why you need to be so horribly rude, crude and disrespectful. So you don't find Patch Adams funny? Wow. That's great. But some people do, and bringing some humor into people's lives, especially those that are suffering with a debilitating illness and need a little bit of friendship and humour at a difficult time in their lives... yeah, I can see how that would be awful. How could he think of doing such a thing? I work in a hospital and I see people go through too many difficult things and I have seen the benefits of adding a little humor / support to their day. I'm not really sure why you have such a hate on for this guy. And by the way, the character in the movie "Corrine" wasn't even a real person. It was loosely based on his wife that I believe is still alive. And yes I'm sure he had to study pretty hard to get through medical school, as I'm sure you knew firsthand. The film definitely took some things from Patch's life and stretched and dramaticized them. But not like that's a new thing for movies. It's not factual to base your entire feelings for Mr. Adams on this interepretation of his life. I hope that you're able to mellow a little. ...Anyway, sorry if this isn't the kind of response you would like to hear. Take care. |
