| There is a 1.6 gigabyte MAME ROMs file on the Pirate Bay for GP2X games. It's a life saver, as a lot of supported games didn't work on my Frankenstein, self-made .34 roms. I played so much Zoo Keeper after getting it right that I bought a stand-up Zoo Keeper.
I got that Mark II GP2X a while back, and I've had no trouble with videos so far. They were just .avi files, but still. Oh, and the thumb pad still makes the entire system almost unusable. It's fucking terrible. They are coming out with Mark III, called the F-200. Here's a link. Link! They change the thumb pad completely. The new buttons aren't great, but much better than what we had. I really don't want to buy a third one of these, but I imagine I will as I use it every day. The other thing I've noticed is that a lot of MAME games play just fine at 100 MHz. I had them at 233 or so - not needed, and in theory extends battery life. ICJ |
