I just got the final set of jobs, which once AGAIN means that all the jobs I had previously been leveling up are now just to be chucked out the window and ignored as I switch everyone to the better jobs. Two ninjas (replacing red mage and black knight, both inferior now I SUPPOSE), a devout (super white mage) to replace geomancer who didn't even have assignable spells, just ONE battle skill that would do a random magic attack which was pretty cool, and then finally I replace the monk with a black belt, the black belt just being the monk BUT MORE POWERFUL OH THANK YOU FOR THIS UH UH GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFT
Now supposedly, if you level up a lvl 99 black knight, it can be better than a level 30 ninja. Maybe. Or so they say. Like that isn't obvious. So really, there's no point in using the old jobs ever again. Also, there is the sort of secret "onion knight" job which is supposed to be the ultimate most powerful and can cast any white or black or summon spell, but all your dudes have to be at least lvl 93 or they suck ass. So who cares.
Psh. I can't wait for the FF4 remake, that won't make me manage my dudes with gay jobs. Also what sucks about jobs is that I don't like any job that makes my character looks stupid, and that's almost all the jobs, so I feel like I shouldn't make the #1 dude a white mage or some fruity wizard class. See the job system just makes you juggle more shit that all the other FF games don't even make you have to bother with. Even FFX had a better system where you had several characters who all had their different class types, but you could swap them out RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF COMBAT. That seems like a genius idea in comparison. |
