The second "mission" (I don't count training) is really bizarre, you "play" a president of some middle east country, but you've been overthrown and taken prisoner. You're driven through cities where enemy terror fucks (ARE THESE THE "MINUTEMEN"?) are killing civilians and etc. You're taken to a place where the new leader, Mr. Sunglasses, has you tied to a stake and then shoots you in the face. It is pretty intense, but not nearly as intense as the end of the American campaign, super duper extreme maxi ultra spoilers: you are doing the usual going around having adventures, rescuing pinned friendlies, when you get word that there's apparently a live nuke in the area, and everyone has to evacuate. You see a friendly Cobra chopper get shot down nearby and set down to rescue them at your own risk. You personally pull out the chick IT'S A LADY from the chopper and get her to the transport helicopter. As you start flying off, the nuke goes off, several helicopters crash, including yours. You wake up in the crashed chopper, everyone is dead. You crawl out super slow and fall out the back where you continue to crawl, hearing scattered radio transmissions about how anyone near the blast should get to medical stations or whatever. You crawl very slightly along, you see a building collapse, and then you die. It is freaky. |
