That's how I felt after the non-stop blitz of company logos the demo puts you through before you can play. And what's with nVidia getting a logo introduction in games now? And Intel's Core 2 Duo. Is the future of gaming going to be 20 minutes loading into the main menu while every fucking hardware manufacturer gets an advertisement? Are they going to start telling me who supplied the capacitors on my motherboard?
The game pegged me at MEDIUM settings, and I think that's pretty much based on whether or not you have a DX10 video card. It recommends a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo and 2GB of RAM, and I have a 2.4GHz Core 2 and 2GB of RAM but an older video card. I bumped everything up to high anyways, and stuttered along through the demo. It looks really nice during the day, but everything at night had a plastic look to it.
I got as far as disabling the radar jammer before I quit. I tried to snipe the guys, but they set of signal flares and called in reinforcements which meant a boat with a mounted gun and a humvee with a mounted gun. I snuck out onto the boat and punched the gunner and driver to death. I guess the Korean army couldn't afford sidearms or anything, because the gunner didn't try to fight back and the boat driver just tried to drive away. He tried to drive the boat away from me while I was on the boat. After I got done punching their faces in, I took the boat back to the camp and gunned everyone down. Then I got out and punched a chicken to death. Feeling my work there was done, I exited the demo. |
