SPOILERS!

- Just met the Nostferatu guy that gets you into the warehouse, but still have numerous Santa Monica sidequests unfinished.

You can do them later, and many carry over from city to city.

- Where's that Tily (Lily?) chick? I found the note saying she's planning on beaking into the bloodbank, but she's nowhere around nor inside the clinic.

In the basement of the blood bank, inside a freezer. Near the annoying guy who is all pissy in his booth. It's past some door there, I dunno. But there's a door code to the freezer. If I still remember, it's 1969.

- How do you kick off investigating the pier murder?

You spy on cops talking about it, ask people about it, search areas. People leave clues all over for you to follow. I think it starts with the bail bonds guy, going to the morgue, and then it keeps going into the next city and so on. You probably won't find the killer until late in the game, I still haven't.

- Is hacking worth it? Are emails and other stuff you get on computers useful and/or provide interesting backstory like they did in Deus Ex? The two I've hacked so far weren't (the one about the med school student fucking a doctor for help on her test was amusing though).

Some hacking is worth it. If you hack that doctor's computer and find the e-mails about him cheating on his wife, you can blackmail him about it for some money. Also you can find passwords to doors and things and information about people.

- The haunted hotel was very cool. I wouldn't mind an entire game made up of walking through a very well done haunted house (not the shitty Doom 3 type).

Perhaps you could try Silent Hill 3 then.
