Crysis will still beat the Nomex balaclava off Ubisoft Montreal's Tom Clancy's Far Cry 2?
Prediction: Crysis will beat Far Cry 2 only in sales, and barely at that.
No one gave a shit about Far Cry's story, IP, high-requirement low-output engine, or anything besides the proper noun "Far Cry". The first thing Ubisoft did after buying up the junk heap is throw out everything related to the first game, including the engine.
Both will sell poorly. FC2 because no one cares, Crysis because no one wants to upgrade all the way to a mid-range core 2 duo yet. Everybody loses, which fucking serves them right because good games shouldn't require increasingly powerful chips that house quantum singularities--which these two games will not be, good that is, so no worries there. |
