It was stupid, boring, frustrating and most of all HIGHLY UNREALISTIC. Veteran mode is all about restarting at the same checkpoint over and over until you have every scripted occurrence memorized and then restarting again because the CPU rolled the dice and decided your shot missed but his didn't. If Infinity Ward wanted to give you an actual FUN challenge, they should have left your hit points alone and just eliminated all the checkpoints. I know, I know, checkpoints exist for a reason, everyone hates playing the same entire level ten times in a row. But how is playing each checkpoint ten times INDIVIDUALLY not much, much worse?
I've come to the conclusion that Call of Duty is less a WWII simulator than it is a multiplayer WWII shooter simulator, like Day of Defeat Offline, complete with respawn points :( |
