I'll check tonight. I usually use F5 and F6, but after I deduced that configs were being deleted when the game crashed I became very particular of the keys I re-mapped. (I figured out it was destroying configs before I knew you could quicksave and before I planned on remapping quicksave, if that makes any sense.) There are options in the key config menu, however.
The game has the BEST save system of any first person shooter, ever. There is quick save. "Real" saving where you hit escape and go through the menu and assign a save slot. Check point saves where you just have to pass a brightly-colored cell and it takes care of things for you. When you die you get the option of coming back to one of those cells instantly, or waiting a little while for the game to load your last properly-saved game.
I think the only option it doesn't support is check point saving and the elimination of save-anywhere, which is favored by dimwits and argumentative, low-discipline assholes, neither of which I think we have here.
the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey!
