I thought the demo was giving you the general gist of the game but it turns out no. You actually do get tons of shit you can spend money on via vending machines, each one of them you can hack with the pipe dream minigame OR buy out using money OR autohack with the occasional rare autohack tool you can find in a couple areas.
So I thought this game wasn't going to be much like Deus Ex but it gets more and more like Deus Ex as I play it. It even has a sort of hub zone right now, with each area a side path you explore and fuckin blow people up with your mind in, then retreat to the shopping center or the area with the hacked med stations (cost less and if enemies use them it damages them instead of healing them).
I've caught a couple people on fire and the first thing they do is run for a flooded floor to jump into. If they manage to make it, I spray my Tommy gun at them. |
