I'm trying to get my old floppy disk drive working, because I understand that it would be useful to get my Atari 800 fully functional.
I have a floppy drive cable that supports both 5.25" and 3.5" -- however, it's got what appears to be only the 3.5" plug for the first drive, and a choice between the two for the B:. Is this how the cable really works? It's possible my 5.25" drive died, but it was working when I retired it years ago. This leaves me in the position of having to hunt for a floppy drive cable that either has both connectors for both drive positions, or a vintage cable that only does old-ass floppies. I just couldn't remember if that's the way things were back in 1990 or whereabouts.
