That being said, I didn't think Boll's Blackwoods was all that bad, and it certainly deserves better than 2.6 stars out of 10 (4 or 5 sounds about right to me). Don't read IMDb's plot summary if you might end up watching it, though, as it contains at least one major spoiler that would render the first (and best) act unbearably tedious.
On the other hand, House of the Dead made me literally angry with rage. Lead actress Ona Grauer was in a position to give the performance of her life - she was lactating at the time - but Boll kept her star players on the bench. You could see the disappointment on their painfully swollen young faces in various slow-motion shots, as Boll robbed them of their first (and, let's face it, likely last) chance to break into the big leagues.
