I'm probably going to write more (incomprehensibly, natch) about it when I get the full game. Some small issues are Chow Yun Fat sliding over everything all the time, and the precision shot being generally ineffective(but still totally sweet) for normal combat.
Basically this is Hardboiled 2 THE GAME. They can't render the way Tequila takes his tequila, so I hope they don't try more than that one time in the demo. You never reload your guns and face off against waves of bad guys. Shooting signs down on their heads while running up a hand rail. You can take cover also, it's control is a little skittish, and if I could have dived around in slow motion in Gears of War I probably wouldn't have used cover in it.
Your Chow Yun Fat super powers are powered by mana, which is recovered by either being stylish or collecting paper cranes.
HEAL: There still are medkits and stuff. On normal and hard the pacing seems pretty good.
Precision Shot: You get one sniper shot and a slow mow death animation. You can shoot enemies in the head, groin, and other parts on the body which really don't matter at all.
Barrage: Tequila actually reloads his guns, this makes them fire more bullets for a limited amount of time.
Also, whoever modeled the facial expressions in this game, must have seen the original Max Payne face.
Spin Attack: Smart Bomb, I haven't gotten around to using it in the demo. Also doves. |
