| This morning on my 15-minute commute to work (time for maybe four songs, radio, DON'T LET ME DOWN), I heard some shit by a band called The Decemberists, I think the song was called "Valencia." Previous to this, I'd only seen the song referenced in forum posts or some other area where I read things, and in my brain I saw "Velouria," so I thought "okay, this could be good, I'll listen to it if it's on the radio or whatever."
Instead it turns out to be the faggiest shit ever recorded. It sounds like the whole band was taking gay pills while having slap-fights over who got to be the bottom that day (they all were). I mean, what the fuck? I switched to the awful Classic Rock station which was in the middle of (what else?) "Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith. That's definitely a song I thought I never, ever needed to hear again but holy shit it felt good washing that Decemberist shit from my ears. Try not to be such fruits, radio musicians. |
