That was almost two years ago, so I'd say the stalking issue is resolved. Now I just want to see him punished for what he put my mom through. I don't think a year in prison (which is what three years actually works out to once you factor in parole) would be unreasonably harsh, but apparently the criminal justice system does, so yeah, I'm kinda upset about that. Upset enough to execute the bastard myself? No. Upset enough to rant about it on the internet? Bingo. If I owned a firearm, I would have killed him the night he kicked in my door. I think we're both better off I didn't. Similarly, if he had brought his gun, things also could have ended very badly. And that's the crux of what I guess you're calling my "peace explosion" argument for gun control. Guns make fine defensive weapons, but so do a lot of other things. Where they really excel is in allowing one crazy sonofabitch to - very quickly and with relatively little forethought necessary - ruin the lives of multiple unsuspecting victims. PS: I'm sorry you had to get a job. Not as sorry as if I ever had to get one, but still :,(
