A couple more things. by Jhoh Cable o_O 06/24/2007, 2:55pm PDT The bottomless pits really really wear out their welcome (NO ONE WELCOMED THEM ANYWAY) about a minute after you see them in some bombed out town. They disappear thankfully, but a few levels later there's a bombed out combat area with fuckin mines planted everywhere. This is the only game where explosives or shooting have no effect (even a direct fuckin grenade blast thrown right on top of a mine did absolutely nothing). You just have to run close up to the mine and jump or flip away. It's terrible. We got through that (coop really made it easier) and I hope we never see another mine again, but I have a feeling there will probably be more bottomless pits and mines. At least in the Baldur's Gayt shit the bottomless pit made a little more sense because it was EVIL MAGIC or whatever fuckin world shit. The Vault Dweller from Fallout 1 is a character in this, or so they pretend. At first they try to make it all subtle but it's so obvious (first of all, when you see him he looks like a fully decked out grizzled world warrior, and he talks about how he KNOWS there's no vaults in that crater TRUST ME HE'D KNOW and such). Later he buys a Vault 13 flask from you that you just so happened to find. What are the chances of that(!!!!!!!). Then he says that he still remembers the MASTER and such. But this old faggot isn't the Vault Dweller, because the Vault Dweller was smokin hot babe, THIS IS BULLSHIT GIVE ME MY REFUND INTERPLAY NOW NOW NOW THEY ARE RUUUUUUUUUUINING THE FRANCHISE With the besthdlda Fallout 3 boards open and a bunch of psychos ranting about how the Fallout name is permanently besmirched by Fallout 3 while puffing a fine classical oakened pipe and peruuuusing the latest issue of New Yorker, and the game isn't even out yet. What was I saying. Oh yeah, what with all that shit, naturally the only walkthrough for Fallout BOS is the Xbox version by a guy who says that this game is TERRIBLE and keeps whining about how the game sucks so bad, and usually in classic wonderful games like Resident Evil 2 he would say in his walkthroughs that he frowns on cheating, BUT IN THIS CASE HE CAN MAKE AN EXCEPTION because the game is so terrible. Why the game is terrible is because it ruins the good name of Fallout, and he had to suffer through the longest weekend with his roommate and it was too long, and then the walkthrough ends by him saying that you should just run away from a bunch of enemies then the game ends and may god have mercy on your souls but especially whoever the developers were or something.
