Months ago, my CEO had a gigantic amount of data on our file server. Our file server only has 160 GB of storage. It's small, I know. But we're cheap and nobody's authorized a bigger array. Anyway, he was taking up 20+ GB of that. I said, hey, we have a new file server (actually, another ancient one but it has 200 GB of storage), can I move your share over to that machine? Sure okay he said. We also bought him a 300 GB external hard drive with nifty backup software for him to use.
Fast forward to today. We're out of space on our primary file server. He's using 22 GB for his data. On our secondary server, he has SIXTY GIGABYTES of pictures (18gb) and music (42gb). God knows what he's doing, if anything, with his external drive. The last time I talked to him about it, my boss informs me, he was pretty angry. Oh really? Fantastic. Can't WAIT to talk to him about it tomorrow.
