I usually use Pleasuredome for all my emulation needs. Checking the site reveals four pinball related torrents, one of which is over 10 GB, so I think that'll have everything you could possibly want. The site does require registration and there are ratios. However, the site also has a rather innovative concept (at least, I haven't encountered it anywhere else): that of "free" torrents -- those which are so popular that the ratio doesn't need to be enforced. On these torrents, only your upload statistics are recorded. So just be sure you download a huge free torrent before you do anything else. I think that's about all I've downloaded and I have a ratio of over 30. Another great thing about the site for manic collectors: they use something called "TorrentZip," in combination with clrmamepro, so people can compare their own MAME and other romset collections against the standard one hosted on the site and correct any differences in file size, modified date, etc, thus generating identical hash values. Then whenever updates are released (particularly for MAME), all you have to do is grab the latest (free) MAME torrent and point it to your MAME roms directory. You'll only have to download 3-5% of the actual torrent. Everyone says not to do this and to download to a backup folder, but I don't have the hard drive space for that. |
