So, my boss, who's like the biggest gadget nerd ever swears up and down that a 64 bit Vista install runs way faster than XP on sufficiently powerful hardware, so I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, my DVD drive won't read the install disc at all, either in Windows or at startup. Now, I'm willing to acknowledge that this is a blessing in disguise, but it's kind of strange. It's not the disc itself, because I have a laptop that will read it without any trouble. Is it possible that my DVD drive doesn't read discs with a UDF file system? If so, is there a way to fix that, because it seems like bullshit. |
