I never got the 2.x patch. I did get the 2.0 version and after a long delay I am scrambling to determine if I even need subsequent patches. For all I know it's just video card fixes -- you can't get a freely available readme.txt, though.

The developers made the following infuriating choices:

1) They used a direct download process that expires. This is what everyone fears about DD and what Stardock and Steam do a good job of avoiding.

2) The developers will re-authorize your account, but you have to write them an e-mail asking.

3) If you write them an e-mail you will receive a message that says, simply, "Piss off!"

4) The last few patches are all hidden from the public. You need to be authorized to get them, and my attempts at getting re-authorized have failed.

5) You can always buy the game again and get access there... but come on. I'm not buying this shit twice.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get a copy of the last patch through other avenues and if I do I'll just host them here. The creators seem to have abandoned their webpage at http://forums.devilwhiskey.com/ so if you want to join in on the drama, you can do so there.
