First, here are some detailed instructions. (These will come in handy if you are a girl.)
Step 1: Place your controller on a hard, bulging work surface. I recommend your lap.
Step 2: Whip out your utility knife. DO NOT use your fighting knife, unless you are master of it.
Step 3: Without disassembling your controller, scrape about 2mm off the inside of the plastic "well" in which your D-pad sits.
Step 4: Blow into the well to remove any plastic shavings.
Step 5: Wash any blood off your controller immediately or it will stain the finish (especially the parts that are very scratched, which will be all of them).
My first time out with the new and improved controller, I beat my previous high score on D-pad-dependent Lumines by 30,000 points. That will probably improve even more once the bandages come off. |
