The study says absolutely nothing about inherent biological differences between the sexes. A valid analysis of gender issues in tennis would necessarily have included longitudinal observations of male and female players throughout their careers, taking into account such issues as differences in training and social expectations. Sitting on your ass in front of the boob tube with a pencil and a bag of Cheetos doesn't qualify as science. It's a shameful indictment of both our University system and our mainstream media that this study was presented anywhere but in the context of an "Ig Noble" award.
