Cars don't kill people, iPods kill people.
Those who don't own cars and can't afford taxis are usually ignored by politicians. But for some reason, New York State Senator Carl Kruger has taken an interest in their welfare. Does he want to create a safer environment for walkers, perhaps by building pedestrian overpasses at the more dangerous intersections? No. He wants to fine people for listening to music while crossing the street - further restricting the freedom of the lower classes, while at the same time making walking an even less attractive option.
What's next, fines for listening to your car stereo while driving through intersections? Haha, sure. |
