I agree the driver situation has been shitty, also, I fucking detest this horrible newNvidia control panel UI, but I have yet to experience any game or OS (XP Pro) glitch caused by the 97.92 drivers. This is with a couple of 8800GTXs, but I doubt the experience would be so different with the GTS.

As for performance: I've had X1900XTXs running in crossfire (haha) and a couple of 7900GTXs running in SLI, one 8800GTX gave me consistent and often remarkable performance gains. With two in SLI, 3DMark06 called me a fucking liar (the drivers are not yet FutureMark compliant). I still don't know how they'll perform with DX10 but I do know they absolutely throat-fuck DX9.

Maybe you got a defective card or perhaps you've just FORGOTTEN how to have fun?
