Concerns were aleviated when public officials and counter terrorism experts reminded everyone that actual terrorist bombs would portray a green crescent moon with the word BOMB(!) clearly labeled.
Cartoon Network announced that it will countersue the citizens of Boston for not being able to tell the difference between the electric wiring of a lighting device and that of a bomb from the distance of several dozen feet. The fact that these wired devices were placed in critical transportation areas should have been a dead giveaway that nothing was amiss.
In the future, it is hoped that everyone will ignore suspicious wired packages left in subways, schools, crowded theaters, and Times Square.
I think you're being sarcastic, Devil's Advocate, and I have to say I like your style. In further defense of Boston officials, I'd also like to emphasize the menacing nature of the cartoon character as well, and that the signs (or should I say devices (or should I say BOMB HOAXES)) were up for a mere three weeks prior to being activated, giving us inadequate time to fully evaluate the threat they presented. |
