This is much much worse in 2142, thanks to the inscrutable lock-on implementation where the missiles fire wildly most of the time. I think this section of code was just never finished, and no one in QA noticed because who bothers to fly much anyway? Thanks to field unlocks I actually have 2 kills from that AA launcher: one of which is from shooting a prone guy, on whom I was standing.
