I keep rapidly cycling through Korean mp3 player manufacturers.
Qoolqee: in name and appearance, a shimmering Phantasy-Star-Online-esque iPod killer. Super-high-end sound processor, karaoke mode, dual headphone jacks?!?!?? The crazy list of features is offset, sharply, by the fact that you can't get them anywhere but amazon.co.uk or eBay. Unless you live in Korea.
I was really happy with my iAudio G3, from Cowan - wonderful sound quality, used standard AA battery (60 hours of playback on a single battery), lightweight but not so small you'd lose it in your pocket, etc. - but Cowan's tech support is genuinely horrible. I had my nose ground into that when, in the middle of Blind Guardian's "Nightfall",

the player plummeted 18 inches to the car floor and the headphone jack was wrested from the circuit board. Maybe I'm the world's worst soldierer, but I didn't get no replacement. Then when I tried to buy another one, my transaction attempt was rebuffed three times and my card was charged three times. I got a cool, steady-eyed "just wait, the $360 in charges will roll off in a few days. They are only pending transactions." in reply to my frantic attempts to remedy the problem.
Anyway, when I bought the Qoolqee off eBay, it was $60 with shipping for the 1 GB K7, and the transaction went off with absolutely no hitches. So it's already a better player.
