The hell? The last two mortal kombat games have been the biggest examples of "you're fucked if you don't memorize 50+ canned combo chains" I've seen in fighting games since Killer Instinct. Not only do you have a shitload of combos to memorize per character, you have three fighting styles per character each with different combos. ON TOP OF THAT you have to memorize which stance moves lead into combos with other stance moves. Whatever happend to just giving everyone the same basic set of moves then 3-5 special moves that were just unique enough to make the characters different, something that only smash brothers seems to understand these days? I had an easier time memorizing every single special move, fatality, and background fatality for every single chararcter in MK2 than I did learning all the shit for a single character in Deadly Alliance.
