-The PS2 graphics are horrible (vs Xbox) on a big screen.
-The controls are pretty bad (vs Xbox). Accelerate is a button? Then more buttons to control the camera? Yuck.
-The whole RPG element is somewhat of a hassle, but it's not so bad. It's fairly easy to level up muscles, for example. Took me about 6-7 gym sessions to max the muscle tone, stamina is harder to increase. Stamina training consists of smashing the X button very very fast for a few minutes while on the treadmill.
-Being able to jump fences, climb walls and jump from roof to roof makes evading the damn PO-LICE much easier, providing your character doesn't weight 300 pounds.
-It feels much more complete and polished than the other games, so far.
After about 8 hours of play, mostly getting used to the PS2 and leveling up, but also about 8-10 missions done, I still haven't unlocked any new city. Even though I listed negative comments, I'm really enjoying myself. I'll leave it to Fussbett to write a proper review with actual humor and style. |
