It's true, stories, especially those of the epic fantasy and sci fi genre, follow certain basic effective broad archetypes, ie, the big evil guy who wants power, the peaceful unknowing hero who must quest forth to stop him. It's been done a thousand times and Star Wars was by NO MEANS the first to make use of such an archetype. Pull your head out of your ass.
