I was so convinced that this was the explanation for their unexpected win, that even after I realized it was just a dream, it was odd this morning to see that Dave is still the coach.
My brother (the one that lives in Atlanta) called me to tell me about the Falcons game. He said, "did you see the game?" and I thought that it sounded a little like the tone of voice he used to tell me Columbia had broken up. So he's a teensy bit depressed about their chances in the post season now.
Here's hoping, and in fact praying fervently to God and Black Jesus (if he's still worshipped anymore) that Cincinnatti doesn't upset us tonight. Somebody on Qt3 was all "Yeah, that Miami game was a lock for them, I knew it." Oh, all ph33r the armchair 20/20 QB might of my boy Homeslice here. He probably threw down 10K on the Sox to win in 7 after Game 3.
The worst part is, Miami's win broke the ice in the Midseason Teaser Poison Game of the Week that usually surfaces around now. One or two locks a week now will be horribly upset, thereby making bettors feel stupid that they agonized over the three and a half they gave up on Philly over Minnesota (as they magically cream them) as the card dies in the morning games when the Bears beat the Jets 45-3. |
