Tomoyasu Hotei - Electric Samurai

The main track on this album is the theme for Kill Bill 2 that all of us heard, and hopefully loved, in the commercials. The rest of album is slightly worse, which makes sense considering the best would have been used for a big movie, but that's ok. It's mostly guitar based instrumental rock with some electronic elements. Alternatively funky and epic, but all very listenable. Get it if you don't have to pay the unlawful import fees.

Kammerflimmer Kollektief - Cicadidae

I highly recommend this one if you can find it. I forget how I stumbled onto it, but it's downright amazing. Acoustically made glitchy downtempo, with elements of free jazz in certain tracks and all subtly melodic. I can't really describe this too well otherwise, but get it anyway you can.

Biosphere - Autour de la Lune

I always liked the lethargic Nordic ambient music this guy produced, and this album is no different. Not as repetitive as some previous efforts, it may be more accessible to you haters.

Balletto di Bronzo - Sirio 2222

In the seventies, this band was the Led Zeppelin of Italy. I think they're really great, but unless you like classic rock, it's pointless to try to hunt this down.

Takkyu Ishino - Titles #1, #2, and #3

After a collaboration, this high profile Japanese techno master returns with three albums at the same time. Slightly less memorable due to quantity, but still filling the minimal techno hole that he originally left in my blackened heart.

Luke Vibert - Sorry I Made You Lush

I don't like this. It's all covered ground, and the music just seems obvious. The production is top notch, but the album is empty of any innovation. After two listens, I feel l've heard every nuance available here.

Quantic - Misshaps Happening

Great funky downtempo. A lot of great drum loops with obscurely sampled riffs. Energetic and easy on the ears. RECOMMENDED.

That's all for now. I take requests.
