Games (native) - 1/10: The one is for that one game you can buy

Games (emulated) - 3/10: The MAME port has been disappointing so far. The Genesis emu is quite good. The SNES emu is slow. Haven't tried the others yet.

Hackability - 10/10: The system is wide open for whatever you want to homebrew or port to it

Overall - 3/10: I thought I'd at least get a portable video player and ebook reader out of this if none of the emu stuff worked well. OOPS


The "right" button on my PSP stuck, so I sold it on eBay. I was only using it as an emulator anyway. So I got a GP2X, finally.

I guess there are a number of NES emulators, and the one I have doesn't have clean save state support. I do miss standby mode.

I finally used clrmame (or whatever it's called) to make a set of .34 ROMs. Let me know if you need some of them. The clrkrklmame guy said, "Hey, this program can be used for many kinds of files!" even though "mame" is in the frigging title... and therefore made it much more clumsy than it needed to be. Whatever, I eventually got it to work. One problem: how can I advance past the "All systems go!" screen in Robotron???! Note: there may not be a way, which fucking sucks. I love the flip mode the MAME emulator has, however.
