so my sister's computer decided not to boot up anymore a day or two ago. It's a fairly new HP laptop, and pretty nice overall.
Error message states: \windows\system32\config\system is missing or corrupted.
Can't start in safe mode, windows automatic recovery is useless, recovery console isn't helping, and getting someone at microsoft to help you is an exercise in futility. Anyone here know what I can do, short of calling HP and going through that bullshit?
Can I just replace the file, and if so how? If not, is there a good way to back up her documents and music and stuff before i reformat the drive in frustration?
Thanks, good people |
