| The first Colony Wars harkoned back to the old Wing Commander days of a branching campaign, though Colony War's branched off into a lot more than just "good" and "bad". I remember thinking the space combat was decent, though the last couple missions were pretty damn hard (the final being pretty much impossible).
I searched forever for a copy of Vengence but could never find it, only the horrible Red Sun. Another PS1 space combat game that I enjoyed back in the day was The Darklight Conflict. The story wasn't too hot compared to Colony Wars', but I remember liking the gameplay a lot more. |
