I emptied the Garand within ten minutes of every American mission by athodyd 11/03/2005, 10:56pm PST It felt vaguely more potent than the other semi-auto rifles but that may have been me imagining things because America rules so fucking hard. At any rate I always ended up having to swap out for the G43 because you can't top off the magazine since someone told every video game designer anywhere that the only way you can get bullets out of a Garand was by shooting them out, which must have made them kind of a bitch to clean. There's also a scoped G43 on the first part of Hill 400 where you're having all those crazy firefights around tank traps on a sixty-degree slope that regrettably the game made me ditch for the next segment. Of course when you get the StG44 there's pretty much no reason to change guns ever again, since the only problem with the Sturmgewehr is that it means you're going to be fighting Germans who have Sturmgewehrs too.
