2 hours into it.

That Mysterio was right when he said the plot was put together by borrowing from lots of movies. There's The Fugitive. The investigator chick's character is a carbon copy of Jennifer Lopez's in Out of Sight. My favorite though is the one cop that everyone is making a big deal out of pointing out how he's ALMOST AT RETIREMENT.

So the plot itself isn't the most original. What makes this game pretty interesting is the way it's presented. The very first scene you're scrambling to get rid of evidence of your trance induced murder in a diner restroom while a splitscreen shows a cop slowly getting up and coming over to the bathroom. Graphical atmosphere of snow storm in New York + music is VERY reminiscent of Max Payne, something else they borrowed heavily from. The main character also looks like J.C. from Deus Ex without the freaky Dune eyes, plus he confides in his older brother (who also dresses in black) a lot.

It really shows that this game was made in Europe though. It seems like the Swedes got all their ideas of America from television and movies. The black detective couldn't be more stereotype black if they had him washing down fried chicken with malt liquor. He's an ex-gang member, the first thing he checks for on a murder victim is his wallet, he will say "sheeeet" and "a'ight", he has a fly white woman, his wardrobe and apartment are modelled so closely after old Starsky & Hutch episodes that it looks straight out of Austin Powers. His apartment radio is tuned to funk. He has a jive swag to his walk. He has a funk soundtrack everywhere he goes. He has a basketball and hoop in his office and busts out his Globetrotter routine to relieve stress. Ladies and gentlman, the Swedish black man.

So far, the fugitive parts are tense and interesting, while the detective parts are slow and a bit dull. If you want the feel of pretty much every fugitive segment without playing, enjoy.
