The first one I clicked on was naturally the one about Deuce McAllister's contract extension. The only reaction I've heard since he signed was Colin Cowherd savaging it, which is predictable because he's only slagging the Saints when he talks about them. I thought Cowherd's points were stupid and short-sighted. You don't give $50 million to a guy who had Deuce's 2004 season and only that, but you certainly do give him that much if he's had Deuce's career numbers and isn't a complete fucking asshole like James and Alexander.

And I don't mean to judge the site by the posters they attact (wouldn't that be the height of hypocrisy for me, ha ha ha) but when you see stuff like this:

I mean, come on. If there is a statistic out there that is honestly saying that Deuce McAllister is six percent worse than an average NFL halfback then that's just stupid. And I realize that the stat is just based off the results of a given season and not taking into account what he's likely to do in the future but the zombies on that site don't realize that.

(And I really can't stand Saints fans beating themselves up on the Internet. The comments to that article look like defeatist poison. Christ, every single team except the Patriots has made an array of blunders over the last four years but you've got Saint fan pandering to these morons with "You have no idea how bad it is!!!" nonsense. They should get their wish and see this goddamn team try to find someone to run the ball after kicking Deuce to the curb. Muncie, Rogers, Mayes, Hilliard, Williams and McAllister and that's it for almost 40 years. Minnesota has half that number of good running backs currently under contract.)

New Orleans has the same problem the Nuggets have in basketball. Black guys don't want to be in Colorado so they are somewhat forced to look at other options (white guys, midgets and Europeans). Nobody is killing themselves to live in Louisiana so you have to go after local boys when you can. For a team that's only had six decent running backs in franchise history Deuce is absolutely worth $50 million to his team. Man, it pisses me off to see them make the right move and still see them catch heat for it.

(I did like the guy who posted as "All the other NFL GMs." Remind me to give a shit about how easy or hard it is for the other 29 teams to sign their guys when I see the NFL officially not apologize to the Saints less than twice a year for game-losing officiating like has been the case for the last five years. I can't wait for the season to start. I really do hate each and every other team.)
