I have an recurring gig at a company where I'm one of the two web dudes, and I don't even see the other one. If I did, I might ask or some Frontpage pointers because that program seems utterly FUCKED to me. As such, I'd like to install a small free or shareware HTML editor on that office machine and would like to hear suggestions, as I've only ever used HomeSite, which I love.
If one of you says "Notepad" or God help you, "vi", I will punch you in your fucking eye. Here's what I like about HTML editors: drag and drop linking, auto tag completion, tag colouring, img src auto sizing, etc. Living without these things because "Psh, I handcode in Notepad" means that you're an idiot caveman, and NOT really cool. Really cool people are the ones who brag about not owning televsions or who live in New York, as we already know.
QUICK BONUS STORY: Here's what I heard outside of my office today:
"How was your anniversary dinner last night?"
"Very nice, thank you, Bob."
Those are real human people! |
