| I joined a game with Jsoh where we gathered with our squad in a Black Hawk near the end, just flying around as Jsoh hovered over flags, two dudes on the miniguns spraying people, we're all getting assists or kills or points, and I'm in one of the seats as an engineer with my wrench holding the mouse key down. It was in that dam mission with some really nice scenery. Some guy would keep bailing out to cap flags, then we would cap the flag from inside the chopper and he'd want back in so we picked him back up a few times. Every time I got a repair point it gave Jsoh an ability assist point, plus it gave him kill assist points. At the end of the game though he only had about 30 total points because kills are worth 2 and the team points are just worth 1. But we won a big ass total victory because the other team could not keep a flag for shit with us ON THE JOB. We almost died once because tanks and jets and choppers were all over the place trying to take shots at us, rockets and machine guns shredding the chopper with like 4 or 5 of us in there and I'm holding the mouse button down telling Jsoh to get us THE FUCK out of there. He was like REPAIR IT and I'm like I AM WE'RE TAKING TOO MUCH DAMAGE and the helicopter armor goes into the red with the last 2 bars and the danger alarm is going off, so he flew off into the canyon away from the giant enemy crossfire and I kept the repairs up until we were at full health again. Eventually the map ended with us having like 140+ tickets still and the enemy at 0.
In the previous map with that sand fog Iraq town, we were driving all over the place running people over or blowing people away as best we could and got twice as many points than we did with the helicopter stuff later. After all this, I got a few medals, basic engineer combat, a medal for being a good driver "under enemy fire," stuff like that. I still haven't been promoted to private first class but I'm like 20 points away (I think the target is 500 points). You definitely have to work for it. Jsoh already has lance corporal I think where he got his first unlock. I think as soon as you get that rank, it lets you pick one class/weapon to unlock. He went with the Jackhammer, which is probably what I'll do since I'm a total engineer at heart. ^_^ |
